Languages have always been my passion. This is why I decided to study Communications and English in New York. For the past 10 years I’ve been living in Zürich and teaching German and English.
I am experienced in teaching German form level A1 to B2 and English from level A1 to C1. My lessons are tailored according to the needs and wants of my students. I am especially experienced in helping adults improve their language skills for business purposes.
In order to support my students in the best possible way, I am constantly improving my teaching skills. Besides my TEFL degree I am acquiring Swiss teaching certificate for adults, SVEB.
Learning a foreign language requires inner drive and discipline. As a teacher I see my role in supporting, encouraging and challenging my students so they can use their full potential to improve their language skills.

Hello, Bonjour, Guten Tag, Grüezi
I have been teaching German as a Foreign Language for 10 years from Level A1 to C2. My youngest student was 5 years old and my oldest was 95.
Before settling down in Switzerland, I was living and teaching in Asia, in Indonesia and Singapore and in beautiful Spain for several years. In both countries I learned their languages from scratch, I therefore fully understand the challenges of learning a completely new language, especially as an adult.
I believe that learning a language is far more than just learning grammar. It's about understanding some historical and cultural background and having a lot of fun too. It's about getting the `feeling`for the language which I believe comes when you have a look at the bigger picture.
I also love to work with games, puzzles, charts and role plays alongside language books.

I have lived in Italy for 17 years and speak Italian fluently, along with English, Spanish and French.
I have taught German as a foreign language for over 10 years, at evening schools and through private lessons, to pupils and adults, in groups and individually. I further am an active interpreter and translator in the most diverse fields.
Foreign languages fascinate me, I find it interesting to find the parallels that connect them, may it be in grammar, ortography or application. They often are a good tool for the deeper understanding and memorization of difficult concepts.
Language lessons can be fun and I am always glad when 'my' students have been able to significantly improve their academic performance or learn a completely new language.

Languages and travelling (most of all India) are my two biggest passions. I spent part of my childhood in Iran, the UAE and Nigeria and thereby was constantly surrounded by an English speaking environment.
I studied English and French in Switzerland. During that time I also gained experience in teaching German.
After my studies I worked as a French/English teacher at a vocational school in the canton of Zurich for 12 years (mainly business & general English/French).
So far I have taught students of different ages (13-70), on various levels (beginners up to B2/C1), in different languages (French, English, German) and settings (individuals, small groups and classes up to 27 students). I am a very good motivator.
Learning should be fun! This is why I also love using games or songs in my classes. For me teaching languages is helping a person to gain a "key" to a new culture and thereby enabling him/her to be more independent. I am looking forward to working with you!

Languages have played a big role in my life from the very beginning.
I was raised by Swiss German parents in the French part of Switzerland, and graduated with a bilingual Matura in Basel (DE/EN).
During school, I have always enjoyed studying different languages and thus also took 7 years of Spanish. After different stays in, among others, México, Paris, Málaga and New York, I am now working as a German teacher and as a French and English tutor.
I believe mastering multiple languages is key not only in communicating with others, but in developing one's own intellectual skills.
I like to focus on the specific needs of a student in order to reach their individual goals. I would be more than happy to help you with any and all German needs!

I live in Bern and graduated from Jean-Moulin University in Lyon (French master's degree in philosophy research), and Fribourg University (DEEM, Swiss educational diploma).
I have been teaching French, latin, grec, philosophy, history, geography in France et Switzerland for more than 15 years.
I can speak English but I try to communicate with basic French even with beginners, because I think that the most important thing to progress quickly is listening to the language, the practice of orality. For lessons, I use personal material adapted to each student, but also books, etc. I try to vary the course materials to avoid the habit. I always teach in recognition of different cultural and social backgrounds, which I always try to relate to the school curriculum.

Since my childhood, I heart different languages around me.
That fascinated me to know later more about culture and languages. I was born in Swiss German-spoken Switzerland and I frequented here the primary school.
My mother is Swiss and my father was Italian. Later, I lived many years in Italy, where I first studied Languages and Literature. German, English and Italian languages and literature.
Living in Italy, I began to have the great passion for translating becoming also a passionate and experienced translator cultivating several book editors’ collaborations. I was fascinated to be a tour guide and interpreter too.
It was a great motivation for me to transmit people new aspect of life and give them the possibilities to explore and know more beyond what the already know.
I have been teaching German and Italian languages and culture in Switzerland and in Italy since many years, in different kind of school institutions and levels.
To adults from everywhere in the world and as well in the integration field so as in the secondary school, gaining different and appropriate methods for everyone and being always up to date in the field of lifelong learning.
Learn a language is also a cultural aspect, a connection with a mood of living, which gives you the right motivation to look in a new or additional direction of your life.
I am glad to be on your side!
